Today I'm protesting the Stop Online Piracy Act, a law up for passing by the US Congress.
What's so bad about it, you might think, if it only wants to stop piracy? Well, it's gonna do a whole lot more than that. If I include a screenshot of a show I'm watching - let's say I find a cute Harry Potter picture that I want to share - and it's not copyrighted in a certain way, my entire deviantart - the URL "xdominoe.deviantart.com" - could be proxied on the entire COUNTRY's server.
Doesn't sound so harmless now, does it.
